ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hello! My name is Ella Jo Cetchovich and I am an Illustration Major at Maine College of Art & Design. As an aspiring cartoonist, I enjoy exploring sardonic and witty humor. My personal illustrative style is reflective and an accurate visualization of my own thoughts and views of the world. I consider humor a subversive weapon and I use it as a tool to communicate emotions that are difficult for me to say outwardly. As a quiet person, illustration has given me the opportunity to express my quirky self and to be seen.
I gravitate towards classic pen and ink. I work gesturally and my hand exhibits a range of organic and scratchy lines.
